I’ve had a few messages wanting more details, and some of you are a little tough to reach, as am I. Here’s what you need to know on the upcoming magazine advertising costs.

Only 1 option is available. Full page. Price is $100.
The magazine will be presented in CD or DVD-Rom format (depending on total data size.) with the actual issue presented in a PDF format, as well as bonus features including video and music.

ALL SPONSORS will receive 20 copies of the issue for resale purposes, and will be listed as a sponsor / pickup location on the new website on launch in January 2010.

The price per issue is to be set at $5, so if you sell all 20 copies, you have recouped your investment. Of course, if you decide to give them away, you can do that too.

Discount prices on restocking will be available while supplies are available.

We are still looking at doing print at a later time, but not with the initial launch of the new magazine. Lets just get it off the ground first.

Halloween is upon us, and now is the time to let you all in on some of the plans we are looking at for the upcoming magazine launch in January 2010. We have been hard at work getting things ready for this, as well as getting the new site ready, and we finally have some news to share with you all.

While the primary goal is to enter the realm of printed magazines, it is not going to happen from the start. We are going to have the first issue done on deadline, and it is going into a slightly different format.

This is the age of digital, and after looking back at our roots and evaluating the success that was the original Box-13 compilation videos, we have decided to launch issue 1 as an interactive DVD-Rom.

Features included will be as follows:
-Mac & PC compatible
-PDF copy of the magazine, presented exactly as it would be in print
-Bonus music and video content
-Wallpapers for your Mac or PC
-Clickable weblinks
-Hidden ‘Easter egg’ features
-Full color professionally packaged digipack style cases

Look for the new materials to become available in January. We will be offering them for sale at shows for just $5 each, and will also offer mail order options via paypal.

On the sponsorship end, this route is going to be really helpful, by allowing us to offer advertising space in the PDF issue build at a MUCH lower cost than we ever could offer with a print issue. Advertising will be available as low as $100 per issue, and each sponsor will receive copies to offer for sale to recoup their investment.

Check in deadline is 9pm on October 9, 2009 at Ground Zero.
All contestants must be 18+ with a valid ID
Event cover is $10. The pageant has no other entry fee.
Must be able to stay for the entire duration of the show. (Event may run as late as 2am)
Competition times will be posted the night of the event.

Judging will be based on the following:
Costume choice
Ability to answer serious questions
Ability to answer stupid questions
Ability to pose for photos
Ability to answer more stupid questions

After years of toying with other Unix based systems over the years with several variations of Linux, combined with the dislike for that other big company and their last offered operating system, we are proud to announce we are going with a Mac on the next system upgrade.

Our first MacBook pro was purchased yesterday, and it will be the primary system used until we purchase a Mac Pro desktop sometime next year.

Events are now being organized for 2010, and we are now looking for venues to host.

The requirements:
-Must have a stage with lighting no smaller than 15′ deep x 20′ wide with full PA capable of running both bands and DJs. Monitors are required.
-Must provide an in house sound/light tech.
-Venue must agree to release 100% of door profits to graveyardgirls.net management. (Profits are considered actual proceeds over the startup funds.)

No details can be released at this time regarding the content of these shows, but if you have an interest, please get in touch with us.

YES we are that sneaky. I always say I want to make each event special, and I do always try to make it so. Billy Liner and myself will both be displaying work at the Fatality Ball event in less than 24 hours, and my part of the display will consist of all BRAND NEW images from the 2009 shoots.

We are very proud to announce that the new site for the upcoming magazine is now completed and fully functional. It will be unveiled later this year, but not until there is some content ready to load into it. We are well on schedule, and things are looking good.

Bloodfeast raised $1000 for the printing costs, and 3 more events are currently being planned out for September, October, and November for South Carolina and North Carolina. Potential sponsors are also starting to contact us, which should provide the additional funds needed to print this thing.

Speaking of sponsorships… this is the opportunity.

Obviously we need sponsors. Now is the time to become involved for those that want in. The spaces will be limited, and if they fill up, we will NOT just add pages to make more ad space without adding on more content to keep things balanced.

Rates are as low as $300 per issue for quarter page advertising, and larger options range from $600-$1000 per issue. Discounts are available with prepaid 1 year contract terms, and we are also planning to offer financed options for clients interested in securing placement for a whole year that would prefer to pay quarterly in the 2010 print run.

Even more opportunity is going to be provided with the half and full page advertising clients. If this size option is more your taste, and you have an interest in event visibility, you will also have an option to secure FREE vending space at our events.

2010 will expand our live event bookings into new territory for us. 4 magazine release parties, as well as 2 art shows are planned for Spartanburg SC alone. More bookings are currently being considered for nearby cities, and many of these will be eligible for the free vending placement. There will be plenty of opportunity to recoup advertising costs.

Opportunity is knocking folks. If you own a tattoo shop, a music store, comic shop, or own a nightclub that our fans would be interested in, the time is now to contact us. admin@graveyardgirls.net will put you in contact.

The date is booked, and this is to be our very first Graveyard Girls event in Charlotte NC. Our partners over at SingleCell Productions will also be involved, so you know it will be one hell of a show.

The event is not costume required, but special dress is encouraged. Drag out your finest funeral attire.

Details of this event will be unveiled next week.

Bloodfeast is over. I’m exhausted. The time is currently almost 11am on July 11th as I’m writing this from my iPhone , and I still can’t sleep. I’m outside of Ground Zero waiting on the rental company to pick up their tables.

Maybe later I can have time for a nap.

My work began at 12:30 in the afternoon on July 10th with the usual day of event phone calls, supply purchases, and a trip for a haircut. By 4:30 I was at the venue loading in my own supplies and getting power ready for the vendors, while my brothers from Atlanta in Psychotic Suspensions got their area ready.

All of this of course is after I satisfied my body demanding a volcano taco and a Dr Pepper.

I got all of the power in place right on time and had the booth spaces ready to roll. The next step on the agenda is bands. Angels On Acid were ready and waiting right on time. The Graveyard Boulevard followed right behind them, and the band gear was in.

The next step was to open for vendors, art displays, and the general public. Summer Bloodfeast V has officially begun.

Here comes the final moment of truth.

Entry was slow until about 9, but then the flood gates opened. By 10pm we matched the turnout of last year, and Captain Stab-Tuggo took the stage with his sideshow performace and a broken nose. Of course that broken nose didn’t prevent the human blockhead routine with a nail up his nostril.

Next up was the first Purgatory Road Show performance of the night. I have no clue what happened, but I hear it was amazing. I’ll know once I watch the video footage.

Graveyard Boulevard was up next, and absolutely rocked the house. By this point I was running the door and couldn’t see anything going on downstairs, but they sounded awesome. Psycotic Suspensions also started putting some people up around this time, and I could see the crowd panning from one stage to the other watching both shows at once.

Did someone say keep them entertained?

Next on the agenda came the first scheduled stage time for Psychotic Suspensions. More hooks, blood, and feats of trauma again hit the upstairs stage. It always amazes me how much people enjoy watching my brothers make themselves suffer. I knew my turn was coming as well…

Next up came Angels On Acid. I actually got to watch a small part of this show. They were great as always. I wish I could have watched all of it.

I headed back upstairs to get my hooks, and once all 6 of them were in, all I could do was wait.

As soon as Angels On Acid went off stage, we began. A first time suspension went up first and he handled it incredibly.

Now it’s my turn…

I attached my rig to the pulley and waited to be locked in as Stab-Tuggo announced I was going to attempt to pull myself up. It’s not easy at 305 pounds, but I did it. I didn’t keep that rope long though. It’s rather difficult to move when you’ve got the rope that’s supporting you, so I handed it off.

As soon as I let go, Stab-Tuggo announces he has a surprise for me, and I look back to see Vivica Hallow from SingleCell. I knew I was in trouble, and yes that strap she hit me with did hurt a lot, and I still have swollen marks on my back. (Almost 36 hours later as I finish this blog post they are still there…)

I have never experienced such a rush. I think I nearly passed out from it actually.

Once we were finished up, the final Purgatory performance began. Again I didn’t get to watch it, as I was having my hooks removed… but again I did hear it was amazing.

With this performance the show was officially over according to the schedule, but it didn’t end.

Psychotic once again took the stage to do a few more suspensions. Raine, one of my Graveyard Girls got to do her first pull. She handled it quite well.

To the artists, you were all amazing. Mystic M, Erodios Photography, Billy Liner, Ehren Howland, and Jasmina, I thank you all.

To the vendors, especially Greyson Wolf, I could not have done the show without you.

Torch, Dave Harlequin, Dave Ward, Miss Envy, Jeff Curd, Stab-Tuggo, Angels On Acid, Graveyard Boulevard, and most importantly Mick over at Ground Zero, thank you for believing in my interests.

Bloodfeast is at an end. There will never be another, but an all new show is in the works, and I hope to see all of you continue to be part of it.

Finally I would like to touch on the fundraiser aspect of this event. Yes, it was to raise money for the magazine, and we did. I know there were some concerns at the end of the night over the funds I was handing to contributors and performers of the event, but we still managed to raise just over $1000 towards the printing of the first issue. That is $1000 that the magazine did not have before, and by no means a small amount of money.

Summer Bloodfeast V was a huge success.

On to the next show…

Bands:
On arrival to Ground Zero please pull to the downstairs door (If facing the building, it is on the right side) and have your equipment unloaded from your vehicles by 6:30pm. We are planning to open this door for you to load in from 6:30 - 7pm. If you have already unloaded your vehicles, this process will move much faster.

Vending:
Load in for vending and displays is from 7 - 8pm via the main entry door. Before loading in anything, please check in at the door for your table placement and ID verification, along with anyone included as your assisting staff or guest allowance. This step is critical as we will also be opening to the public at this time.

Other performers:
All other performers should be present by 8:30pm.

General admission to the public will begin at 7pm.

Summer Bloodfeast V entertainment will begin at about 9:30pm.

The end of the Summer Bloodfeast series is this coming Friday, July 10. 6 months of planning, 2 months of promotion, and a lot of care has gone into this final show. 10 thousand fliers have been distributed across 5 states. It’s time now to see the results, and lay this thing to rest properly with the 5th and final Summer Bloodfeast.

The Summer Bloodfeast series began as an extension of the original Alternative Arts Expo we did back in May of 2005, and during it’s peak year was attended by more than 450 people in 2007.

Considering most art related events in the southeastern USA rarely draw more than 200 attending, it has been a huge success.

To all of you coming in as vendors, or doing displays, we thank you for your participation. Hopefully you will all continue to support us on our future events with the upcoming magazine. Without the support from all of our vendors and sponsors over the last 5 years, this series would never have happened.

Doors will open at around 7pm on Friday evening. This will be one to remember.

A few months ago we announced that June 6 would be the start of things for the final online incarnation of Graveyard Girls. We met that date with the release of information on the future of this site.

Now it is time to really get the ball rolling and get the photos out.

Photo sets will begin going live this weekend, and if you have not yet noticed, a user log in is no longer required.

Of course, if you like what you see, feel free to join or log in and comment in our forums.

In addition, some of you have commented back since the magazine was announced that the recent months of random stories being published, starting with the Pompeii exhibit photos, you kind of saw it coming. This trend will continue in coming months, as this is the direction things need to go so we can evolve into the magazine.

Back in mid 2008 we announced a partnership with SingleCell Productions, followed by an announcement in January 2009 that graveyardgirls.net will be publishing one final year. We have also announced the final year of the Summer Bloodfeast series in Spartanburg SC with the 2009 show, and SingleCell has performed their final Purgatory in Charlotte NC.

Their has been a lot of speculation regarding what is going on, and why we are ending things that seem to be doing very well. She short answer is we are at a new horizon.

Since we started this thing called Graveyard Girls, there has been a nonstop feed of competitors doing the exact same thing. Imitation is the highest form of flattery, but it has reached a point that it has become a major distraction, in some cases to our own models. Distractions over time evolve into lost revenue, and I am unwilling to continue pumping money into a site that is going into the negative.

Graveyard Girls in it’s current form must come to an end.

As of January 2010, this site will go offline. In it’s place a new face of Graveyard Girls as a publishing group will emerge.

We are becoming a printed magazine.

After 7 years this seems to be the most obvious solution to the problem of carbon copies. It is going to take a lot of help to make this happen, and our partners at SingleCell Productions, as well as some of our long time supporters and staff are behind this 100%.

The new magazine is planned for launch on January 2, 2010, and will be a color 44 page print, featuring our own Graveyard Girls in each issue. There will also be articles on artists, music, movies, and lifestyle. It will be published quarterly.

We will be distributing to select cities from Atlanta GA, to Washington DC for free, and a very low cost subscription option will also be available to have it arrive via old fashioned postal service mail. An expanded digital option is also being considered for a low fee.

For this to happen, we do need advertising, and it will be extremely limited within the 44 page layout. Our primary target range of sponsors are tattoo shops, piercing studios, and independent music stores, as well as online vendors. If any of you reading this think you may be interested, feel free to email admin@graveyardgirls.net for more information.

On the financial end, this is going to be very expensive, and aside from advertising, we also have events as potential sources of revenue. This years Summer Bloodfeast is a fundraiser for this magazine, as will be the return of the Alternative Arts Expo this fall. 2010 will continue with events, and although the Summer Bloodfeast is being retired, 4 release parties are planned, and the Alternative Arts Expo will continue.

I hope this is enough to spark some interest from those of you reading this. We’ve got a long way to go, but this is the direction to keep this thing alive.

Join Graveyard Girls and SingleCell Productions tonight for one final Purgatory! 7 years of shows are coming to an epic ending at Amos’ Southend located on South Tryon in Charlotte NC starting at 8pm tonight.

6-6-09 will be the launch of the final publication run of Graveyardgirls.net. We currently have 13 sets in hand, ready to roll, and expect more to be completed within the next month.

We will also have a major news announcement at that time, but until then, we are keeping a lid on things. Those of you that check here regularly may remember me telling all of the carbon copies out there to bring their A-game just before I announced the final year of the site.

I will say this much… it is related to that challenge, and I have seen 5 more carbon copies come online in just the last month.

7 years, 42 home shows in Charlotte NC, and countless road shows later, Purgatory is coming to an end. They said it could not be done. Not in the ‘Bible Belt’. Not in Charlotte. They said… On to show # 43. Ragnarok, the final Purgatory, will be held on Saturday April 18, 2009 at Amos’ Southend in Charlotte NC.

Tickets are now available. This show will sell out. Advance purchase is highly advised.

As we announced a few weeks ago, this is our last year. We are already actively shooting content for our final run here at graveyardgirls.net, and current plans are to begin releasing them in June. There may also be some changes to the site before the new sets go live.

For this final run we have made some serious upgrades on gear as well. I hope everyone notices a major jump in the quality of what we do. Everything should look better, from the interviews, to the photo sets.

We do plan to go out with a bang, or at least a pajama party.

Finally, to all of you new girls emailing about becoming involved, I have not forgotten you. Email is a bit backed up at the moment with all that is going on behind the scenes. It may take a week or longer to get back to you. It seems a lot of faces want in before the end.

First off, just let me say you missed a good time, at a lot of events.

The Pretty Things Peepshow was amazing, and they have the absolute cutest sword swallower I have ever seen. I hope more of you local to our home base will come out next time they come. I really wish I had a video of their show, but they unfortunately did not have a DVD available. It was the perfect blend of sideshow and burlesque performance art. These ladies are top notch performers.

A week later I went behind the camera for the first time in a couple of years with my Atlanta family, Psychotic Body Suspensions, and the amazing Captain Stab-Tuggo. All I can say is it has been way too long. I wish I could have gone up on some hooks myself, but thought getting the footage should be a higher priority. If you missed it, you’ll get a second chance at Summer Bloodfeast V.

Finally came Purgatory XLII: Saint Valentines Massacre in Charlotte NC. The event sold out. I guess the word has spread about the end of Purgatory. There’s one last chance to party with us and our partners over at SingleCell coming in April, and it is gone. You don’t want to miss it.

11 months left until we close. I keep getting questions asking why. I have my reasons. They will all become clear as the end nears. In the meantime, what better way to celebrate our 7th year, than with the 7th deadly sin. In our case it will be quite literal.

I am very proud of the girls that have stepped up over the last 7 years to be part of this. I am proud that we have survived with no financial corporate sponsorship. I am proud that we have stayed true to our beginnings and still do not publish nudity. I am proud of a lot, and I think I deserve to be.

As we begin publishing in a matter of weeks for the final run of Graveyard Girls, I am sure all of the girls we have coming in will give me even more of a reason to be proud.

If pride is a sin, I feel no guilt. I guess I’ll just see you all in Hell.

I have discovered recently that I really love the novelty of 3D movies. I remember as a kid looking at 3D art and always thinking it looked like crap, but I always looked anyway. I still just have to look.

3D has come a long way since I was a kid. It does actually work now, but that is not what this story is about. This story is about the fiasco of actually finding said 3D movie playing, in 3D. This was my bloody 3D fiasco of My Bloody Valentine 3D.

All of the promo I have seen said 3D. Am I seriously the only one that did not know there would be a 2D version in theaters at the same time? I found out the hard way.

My suggestion to anyone planning to see this is very simple. If the show time listing does not say 3D, call and find out for sure. You may show up to be greeted by a sign telling you the 3D version is not being shown.

With that said, this flick is well worth the price of the ticket and glasses. Check it out on the big screen while you can, because the DVD release will not compare on the quality.

Back in 2005 Dave Cook of Splatter Comics drew an incredible piece of art for us, and until now it has only been used on postcards and the web. The original is hanging on my wall to this day in a frame. I hope some of you like the new merch that has come of it.

Wow. I have to say this was fast.

Our old Charlie T-shirts from the Box-13 era were banned by ebay, after a month. One of our old hosting providers decided to ditch us after just a couple of weeks. Google however ditched us in less than 1 day.

I literally got all of the ads working at about midnight last night. My clock currently reads a little past 9pm. This is a record.

The most amusing part of all, the ads were still displaying here until I dumped the codes 5 minutes ago.

I have never been big on watching the news. I hate hearing about things going wrong, which is 90% of what does make broadcast on most news networks, but the current economic mess is a little scary.

The real estate market, as well as the automotive industry, are 2 very important parts of the freedoms we have here in the USA. I have to wonder what the penalty of the bail out will be 5 or 10 years down the road. The reality is both of these will be in debt to the federal government for a very long time.

I am also amazed how the gas crisis of 2008 where fuel reached nearly $4 a gallon is mostly going untouched as a major cause in this mess, and even more amazed how the government’s role in commodities is being ignored.

In March of 1971 ex Beatle John Lennon released a song by the title of ‘Power To The People’. I’ve always liked the tone of that catch line. It seems the voice of the people has changed a lot in the last 40 years to something much weaker. The government role in what used to be individual judgment has changed.

Is it paranoia on my part, or is this really disturbing? We fought the British Empire to obtain freedom from government controlled land as well as unfair taxation. I have to wonder what the fall out of the bail out will be. Where will this money be recouped? Do the people still hold the power?

I remember learning as a kid that we had to work hard to have nice things, be healthy, and be free. The modern concept is the government should protect us, which is more along the lines of what I remember learning of the Soviet Union before it fell. How far will the American people let this go before learning the dangers we are opening up?

Government controlled land, health care, transportation, and commodities mean government power, not by the people, and not for the people. These are the things empires are made of, at the expense of the people.

I’ve been hearing a lot about this lately, and I thought I’d take a minute to address the issues at hand here. 18 U.S.C. §2257 is of course, the federal law detailing how record keeping is handled for adult content publications.

First off, we do not, never have, and never will publish nudity on Graveyard Girls. There has never been, and never will be a single nipple, vagina, or even exposed pubic region featured on any of our girls on this site.

I do understand that this law is also set to encompass suggestive material, which could be interpreted as masturbation, or material that is intended to sexually arouse an individual.

This law is intended to protect children. The aim is in the right place. I do however have to say that some of the confusion over what this law should be regulating is a bit out of place.

I do hope that anyone visiting our site does realize we are not porn, have never been porn, and for those of the child molestor persuasion, we feature ADULTS.

The sad reality is you are probably finding your level of entertainment watching your local educational network at 8am.

75.2 (g) of the most recent revision of this law includes a line “lascivious depictions of the genitals or pubic area”. Notice this clause does not specify nude or non-nude. The term pubic area is extremely vague, as is lascivious, and can be defined to include clothed models not depicted in a sexual or even suggestive act.

I personally think this law requires more planning and definition. If any of you have any doubt, look for information on United States v. Knox, 32 F.3d 733, a child pornography case in which a conviction was obtained without nudity as a factor.

Washington DC, I hope you wake up soon. Just because you think this is clearly intended for material that should be defined as pornographic, does not mean that some of the blundering hick town extreme religious fanatic lawmakers will get it right.

We are currently roughly 3 months away from making a major announcement regarding the future of Graveyard Girls, and before that day arrives, we have a few details that should fall into place. One of the more major ones is dedication. Only a select few know what this new horizon is, and it will stay that way until the time is right. Lets just say some toes are going to be stepped on, and some feelings will be hurt.

Some of the biggest events to ever hit the southeastern USA are coming up over these next few months, and we will be involved. To prepare for these events, we need to know how many of our own will be capable of attending. All of these events should be used to leave a mark that this region can never forget.

I have spent nearly the last 7 years absorbing every major expense of this thing. The day has come where I need to know who I can count on. We need to be present. We need to be visible. We need to be dominant. If all of these can’t happen, for any reason, we need to end this.

To prepare for this new horizon, I need to know who is there, willing, and available to leave a massive bleeding scar on the southeast. Shows are coming up, and we should be in attendance. I do know how work schedules and other priorities can conflict, but the day is here where this should be a high priority as well.

Although things have seemed slow here for the last few months, a lot has been going on behind the scenes. Gear upgrades have continued on the video front, and we are now capable of shooting in full 1080i Hi Definition. I am also near completion of the yet unnamed documentary for Charlotte NC’s Purgatory fetish events, which is a project that I have nearly 500 hours invested in to date.

I’m sure all of you reading this are wondering by now what this is leading up to… Here’s the simplest I can put it.

Several events will be hitting over the coming months. Some we will be invited to. Some we will not. If we are welcome, I want our girls there, representing themselves and this site. If we are not welcome, I want to crash the party, and take part of the spotlight.

If you can’t afford time off to go to these things, or are not sure if you’ll be free for whatever reason, this is not for you. Please realize this and don’t volunteer yourself.

Planning is now underway for the return of the Graveyardgirls.net Alternative Arts Expo as well as Summer Bloodfeast V.

Both events will be fundraiser events for an upcoming project currently titled ‘plan Y’ which will be unveiled in mid 2009.

We are now about to enter our 7th year, and now more than ever I am watching more and more sites pop up doing basically the same exact thing we have done here since the start. The reality is there were NO other options available when we started this, unless you wanted to be required to take your clothes off.

Entering 2009, there are literally hundreds out there.

Over the last couple of years I have made it an option for many of these sites to work directly with us. None have so far. I guess expanding competition in a business that is already cut throat as hell is a higher priority for them. So be it. The invitation is no longer there.

I know many of you have been waiting for me to go away. I know some of you have even approached some of our girls over the years with an offer of a few hundred bucks followed by an exclusive contract, just so we would never be able to work with them again.

Your reality check is coming, and I hope you’ve all brought your A-game.

I am about to spill some blood with this. Yes, you can consider this a declaration of war.

Yes I know. The year is almost over, and I have been sitting on material for months. I do still have a few galleries to post. They will go up. I promise.

When what I am planning is unveiled, it will all seem worth it. I have been working nearly every day for almost the last 2 months without a break, just to make some big things happen.

I know some of you are wondering what I am up to. I can’t say just yet, but I can tell you it will be big. For now I will just call them plans “X” and “Y”.

Plan “X” is slated to be unveiled around March of 2009, and yes, this plan does have a lot to do with the 2 1080i HD video cameras I have purchased over the last couple of months. I’ve posted a notice over in our forums searching for individuals interested in videography. Again, I am presenting opportunity to our in house staff. I will see who answers. The amount of people that will be involved in plan “X” behind the scenes is already growing.

Plan “Y” on the other hand is even more top secret. I will drop hints over the coming months as to what this one is, but nothing will be completely unveiled until December 2009. It’s a year away. Yes, it is that big of a deal. I’m actually considering pawning my soul to make this one happen, if it’s still worth anything.

That’s all I can say for now. I may have already said too much, and I must go eat my dinner before it gets away.

Again, I hope our own are paying attention…

I’ve wanted to visit the ruins of Pompeii for a long time. This is probably as close as I will ever be to that dead city.

Many artifacts are in this exhibit. Tombstones, statues, coins, various pottery, etc… Much of it still very familiar in modern day, but of course I was there for the body casts.

Honestly, I’m already bored. Every time I have turned on the news for the last 6 months, it’s been something about Obama’s race or the Republican VP hopeful Palin being female. Considering we knew almost 24 hours ago who won, please give it a rest.
